HTCC 2nd XI Vrs Haringay Libraries 14th May 2006

Match Report
by Darren Tarling
Like the 1st xi the two's also
recorded their first win of the season
on sunday.
Without going into too much
detail I would just like to point out one
or two excellent performances.
Firstly, Josh Bonner. Having lost
Jack to the 1st xi we really wanted
someone to come in and fill that
gap and Josh has done just that. His
opening spell on sunday, against
a very good side, was virtually
unplayable, well done Josh and
keep it up.
May as well keep it in the
family, Dan Bonner finally did what he has
been threatening to do for some
time. His maiden fifty yesterday was a
special innings by a player who
has also taken the gloves this year
and kept very well. I'm sure this
will be the first of many big
innings for Dan, well done!
Michael Davie also had a very
good afternoon, taking an important
wicket and keeping a cool head
when he came in to bat with Kermit to
see us home by smacking two
excellent fours.
Kevin Cowan was inspirational for
the second week running. Firstly by
clean bowling their number 3 who
was batting well, and then by hitting
his second consecutive fifty in
usual no-nonsense aggresive manner.
Terry Welsh, Owen Brewer and
Ricky P also made vital contributions to
a very satisfying win.
